Traditions Meets comprises The McKinney Academy of Irish Dance, Sollus Highland Dancers, Bready Ulster Scots Pipe Band and St. Joseph's Brass Band.

Previous work between these groups has demonstrated the ease with which groups from both sides of the community can come together, celebrating and exploring their local culture, history and heritage.

The drive behind the formation of the group was to bring together aspects of traditional forms of Ulster Scots and Irish culture, and to present it in a new and exciting way. This did not mean ignoring the traditional artforms, but instead change the focus to ensure that the character and emotions so deeply rooted in both traditions are brought to the forefront of every performance, thus achieving a wider appeal than a more traditioal approach might accomplish.
